I had so much fun doing this session for a sweet family!

Even though this season has brought with it lots of moody rainy days the sun showed up for us and did not disappoint. Can you believe this is their backyard? 🤍

What they don’t tell you about Chola Cactus Garden: the crazed thirsty bees! We weren’t prepared, and with a baby it can be a little concerning. They swarm your car as soon as you open the door hoping to get some water drips from under your car or else they try to drink your sweat. Although we managed to walk away fast enough to not get stung we saw at least two people get stung in the 5min we were there.

That’s said, it’s a beautiful sight to see at sunset and still worth a stop as long as you aren’t allergic to bees!

I’m a little behind with this post, was going to post every day highlights of our trip, but lack of cell service put a cramp in that.

We just finished up a wonderful trip though Joshua Tree, more on that later, but in the meantime here is a set from White Sands.

One thing I really loved was how completely silent it was out in the dunes. There is no life whatsoever out there!

Slide through to the end and peep the missile I accidentally caught on camera as we were driving up to the the park for an early morning hike.

Remember that thing I mentioned a while ago? Well, today is the day! We’re heading out on our epic road trip, and I am so excited! The next couple days will be all driving to our first destination - White Sands NM.
