Hi, I'm Katie☺️
I'm a teacher, photographer, filmmaker, and lover of Jesus. I was raised on 70s SoCal rock, family dinners, and Kansas Jayhawk basketball. For me, nothing is more freeing or healing than the inspiration of a new place and seeing a corner of the world for the first time. I'm a dance floor fanatic, logistical magician and I LOVE over the top florals. I believe there's poetry in a perfectly candid shot and I want to create magic with you. Can't wait to hear from you🤍

I could talk about flat lays and styling details for an embarrassingly long time😬

Images like these aren’t just “nice to have” for me. It’s genuinely one of my favorite parts of the whole day. There’s a quiet window before anything else really happens where I get to slow down and look at each piece my couple has chosen. Their rings, stationary, heirloom jewelry, perfume…when all of it comes together and feels like a true representation of them and their day, I know magic can be made as I style them!

You picked the ring box color for a reason. You picked the envelope liner and the shoes. You’re wearing your grandfather’s cufflinks to have him close even though he can’t be there. All of this is worth more than a rushed iPhone photo that never makes it off your camera roll.

I know many couples don’t automatically think deeply about these photos, so let me help you remember all of the important pieces to include💍

After years and careers away, my husband and I have bought our first home in the town that raised me. There’s something so humbling and full-circle about building the next chapter of my photography community right here among the same streets that shaped me.

Another past couple became parents last month!! I’m so grateful to be asked back into people’s lives again and again🤍

I’ve been spending more time reflecting on my role as a photographer and how God has called me to use the gifts He’s given me. I’m my own biggest critic of my art; I think that’s something all creatives have in common at some point in their journey. But one thing I never question is the heart I’ve been given to serve others. My career path has ebbed and flowed over my life, but serving others is the one true constant. Thank you, God, for equipping us all so purposefully🤍
