Let’s Talk Wardrobe: Spring & Summer Edition 🌸☀️

Planning starts with the location! For the beach, soft blues and flowy dresses are a ‘yes’ (no heels!). In parks, contrast the greenery with warm reds or yellows. 🌳

The Rules of Harmonizing:
✨ Coordinate, don’t match. No “white t-shirt and jeans” uniforms!
✨ Use 3-4 neutrals (tan, cream, white) as a base, then add 2-3 colors and an accent pop.
✨ Movement is key. Boho and flowy fabrics photograph beautifully.
✨ Patterns are great, but only pick one bold floral and style everyone else around it, keep any additional patterns small or subtle.

The “Unscripted” Details:
• Wrinkle-free is essential!
• Proper undergarments matter: stray straps delay your gallery.
• Ditch Apple watches, hair ties, logos, and neons.
• Shoes: Wedges, boots, sandals, converse or bare feet!

If the thought of a camera lens makes you want to hide under a pile of laundry... you’re in good company! (I see you, fellow camera-shy humans 🙋‍♀️). Most of my clients start our sessions by telling me they’re "awkward." They worry about stiff poses or the beautiful chaos of kids (and husbands!) who’d rather be anywhere else.

My favorite posing hack? I don’t only "pose" you. Instead of saying "cheese," I give you jobs. We walk, laugh, and lean into the unscripted magic of the moment. My goal is to capture the heartbeat of your family: the real, perfectly imperfect stories. Before you know it, you’re laughing, scaling rocks, and actually enjoying yourself. SNEAK PEAK of this handsome little guy. Marcelo was the sweetest boy. He started wide awake, calm, and curious for ⅔ of his session. Which is perfectly fine! Later, he drifted off in a sound sleep.
