Turns out steak wasn’t the only thing on the birthday menu. 🍉😂

A little watermelon, a little mess, and a whole lot of personality.

Honestly, first birthday sessions are way more fun when we forget what they’re “supposed” to look like and just let the birthday kid have a good time. 🥰

Cake smash, steak smash, watermelon smash… I’m here for all of it.

Motherhood, but make it real. 🤍

The cuddles. The belly laughs. The wrestling matches. The tiny feet flying through the air when you were supposed to be taking pictures. 😂

These are the moments I love capturing most — because someday, the perfectly posed photo will be beautiful… but these are the ones that will take you right back to what life with them actually felt like.

The Revenge Dress is one of my favorite Diana moments!!

Are you ready for your Revenge Dress moment?

📸 Book with me and we’ll have you feeling like a million bucks too 🩷

On the night Prince Charles admitted his infidelity to millions of television viewers, Princess Diana had two choices.
She could stay home.
Or she could walk into one of London's most photographed parties.
She went out.
On June 29, 1994, Diana arrived at the Serpentine Gallery wearing a fitted black, off-the-shoulder dress by designer Christina Stambolian.
Within hours, photographs of her were everywhere.
And the dress would eventually earn a name Diana herself never gave it:
The Revenge Dress.
What made the moment even more remarkable was that Diana had owned the dress for around three years.
She hadn't worn it because she reportedly considered it “too daring.”
That evening, she had originally planned to wear Valentino. But after details of that outfit were released to the press early, she changed her mind at the last minute and reached for the black dress instead.
The timing could hardly have been more dramatic.
That same night, Charles's television documentary aired. Asked whether he had remained faithful during their marriage, he acknowledged that he had not once the relationship had, in his words, become “irretrievably broken down.”
Diana gave no competing television interview.
She made no dramatic statement outside the gallery.
She simply appeared smiling and confident, wearing something far bolder than the public was accustomed to seeing from her.
Her former stylist Anna Harvey later explained it perfectly:
“She wanted to look a million dollars. And she did.”
The next day's headlines ensured that Charles wasn't the only royal everyone was talking about.
Was it really revenge?
Only Diana knew exactly what she intended.
But the photograph became something larger: an image of a woman refusing to disappear during one of the most public and painful chapters of her life.
Sometimes the strongest response isn't saying anything at all.
Do you think the “Revenge Dress” would have become this iconic if it hadn't been worn on that particular night?

Before there was steak… there was serious business to attend to. 🚜😂

Because sometimes the best way to start a session isn't “look at me and smile.”

It's giving them something they actually want to do and letting them be themselves.

A favorite truck, a little dirt, and absolutely zero concern about my camera — exactly how I like it.

These are the little details of childhood that change way too fast. The toys they carry everywhere. The way they play. The things they're completely obsessed with right now.

And those deserve pictures, too. 🤎

They don’t have to be little for you to get in the picture. 🤍

We think about Mom & Me photos when they’re babies — tiny hands, little giggles, somebody inevitably needing to be carried.

But then they grow.

And somehow, Mom is still usually the one behind the camera.

So this is your reminder: take the pictures anyway. With the little ones. With the big kids. With the ones who are almost as tall as you now.

Because one day, these will be the photos they’re looking for. The ones that show what it felt like to be loved by you.

Mom deserves to exist in the family memories, too. 🤍

The family photo isn’t complete without the ones who leave hair on everything. 🐾

Happy National Dog Day to the four-legged family members who absolutely deserve their spot in front of the camera, too.

Big dogs, little dogs, perfectly behaved dogs, and the ones who make me work for it — bring them. 😂 I’ll take the chaos, the treats, the leash wrangling, and all.

Because someday, you’ll be really glad they were in the picture. ❤️

The way he smiles when she kisses him. 🥹

Some wedding days are big and elaborate. Others are beautifully simple — focused on the two people standing there saying this is it, this is my person.

And those are the moments I love photographing most.

The little looks. The real laughs. The way they naturally reach for each other when nobody needs to tell them what to do.

Congratulations to these two. 🤍
