My entry in San Pedro River Arts Council Photography Show and Sale was “Dancing Sun Bear”. It was taken around the Gila Bend area placed 2nd in its category! I’m so excited! My first contest and first placing!
There were some absolutely stunning work there. My husband and I are still talking about one that was two horses locked in battle. There are landscape, animal, macro, and so much more! Plus if you see one you just can’t go without artwork is for sale!
There is voting still being had for, “People’s Choice Award” so head down to the Cochise College in Benson to view all the talented artists and cast your vote for the one YOU like the best!
Also be sure to check out Endeavor Art Gallery of Benson to support local artists! I know I’ll be making a trip! ~ AJ

I got to take a drive to Benson this morning to drop off my submission for the San Pedro River Arts Council 2026 Photography Show at Cochise College Benson Center.
I am completely giddy about the reception on Saturday. I get to see some amazing talent of all degrees and mediums.
I hope you come out to visit and support all the artists since the show will run from October 5th through October 30th.

Just a quick photo of our last rain. It was brilliantly lit up by the sunset.
That’s one of the things I love most about Arizona. The sunsets. It’s hard to describe to people who have never been here how big, bold, and expansive the sky is here.
My entry for the photography contest is prepped and ready to go. Wednesday I’ll be submitting it. I hope to meet some new people there! ~ AJ

Behind the scenes in order to get sunset and sunrise photos to bring the beauty of the desert to you. I love this place so much. I have never been in a town with as much grace and hospitality as Douglas.

Un poquito detrás de cámaras para poder traerles fotos del amanecer y el atardecer, y compartir con ustedes la belleza del desierto. Quiero muchísimo este lugar. Nunca había estado en un pueblo con tanta calidez, amabilidad y hospitalidad como Douglas.
