This one hits close to the heart. ❤️
I have the privilege of meeting some truly amazing people, but this beautiful elderly couple is one that will always stick with me. Every visit with them feels like home.
They had experienced a break-in while they were sleeping. Someone actually climbed right through their bedroom window and made themselves comfortable enough to walk into the kitchen, make a Hot Pocket, sit at the table to eat, go through the wife’s purse, and then casually walk out the front door.
The husband woke up, saw the plate sitting on the table, and thought to himself, “Why did my wife make such a mess?”
It wasn’t until they both woke up and started putting the pieces together that they realized someone had been inside their home.
The wife immediately became frantic and started searching through her purse.
“I hope he didn’t take my Kohl’s Cash!” 😂
As funny as the story sounds now, that experience changed the way they felt in their own home. The feeling of being violated and no longer completely safe stayed with them.
Today, Live Video Guard and their new alarm system have completely changed their lives for the better. The system is designed to stop the problem before it starts.
The wife was very skeptical about all of the new technology at first. So, on installation day, I sat with her for hours. I walked her through the app, explained how everything worked, answered every question, and made sure she felt comfortable before I left.
When the installation was finished, she gave me the warmest hug and thanked me.
She looked at me and said, “I feel so much better now.”
That moment right there is why I love what I do.❤️
