Every detail of a newborn session is chosen with the final gallery in mind. One of my favorite parts of designing each newborn session is creating completely different sets—each with its own color palette, textures, layers, and little details.

For this session, we went with soft cream, oatmeal, and sage tones, keeping everything neutral and timeless while still giving each set its own look.

From the very beginning, I’m thinking about how all of the images will look together. I want the finished gallery to have enough variety that you can choose your favorites for an album, or pull several images together to create a beautiful gallery wall.

It’s all part of the planning that goes into creating a gallery that feels cohesive, without every image looking the same. 🤍

While I love our custom-designed sets as the signature presentation for our one-year portrait sessions, I also love incorporating simpler portraits that beautifully complement the more decorative sets.

For this session, we began with a beautiful boho-inspired set featuring a green garland and florals, then transitioned into our lifestyle corner for something a little more clean and timeless. We carried the soft sage and mauve tones throughout the session, creating beautiful variety while keeping everything cohesive.

I love how these simpler portraits add another layer to the gallery , allowing the focus to be entirely on this sweet little one. 🤍
