A little transparency about how my photography business works 📸 Photography is often seen as just the time spent taking photos, but there’s so much more that happens before and after a session that many people don’t get to see.
✨️Each client experience includes planning and communication, scheduling and booking, the actual session, and then hours of behind-the-scenes work—processing, culling, editing, retouching, file organization, long-term file storage, and final delivery. On top of that, there are business costs like professional equipment, software subscriptions, insurance, website hosting, education, and continued maintenance to ensure your images are safe and delivered professionally.
Because of the time and care involved, I’m not able to offer free photography services on a regular basis. Doing so would take time away from the clients who support my business and allow me to continue serving my community sustainably.
That said, when I do donate my work, it’s always intentional. It’s usually for causes I believe in deeply or for people and organizations I have an established personal or professional relationship with—those who support my business through referrals, collaboration, or even sharing my work.
✨️✨️Supporting me doesn’t always mean booking a session. Sharing a post, sending a referral, or simply spreading the word truly makes a difference. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who supports me and who has cheered me on along the way. ❤️🙏
