Mariah’s senior session at First Landing State Park was such a fun one to photograph.

I’ve known her mom, Megan, since high school, so getting to capture this season for their family was special. Mariah is graduating from her homeschool program and heading to Oklahoma City University to study commercial dance. With that path, she could end up performing for artists, working in music videos, live productions, touring shows, and more - so be on the lookout for her!

We finished the session with an incredible sunset along the water at First Landing... about as perfect of an ending as you could ask for.

Rylie’s senior session yesterday in Virginia Beach felt like a full-circle moment for me.

I photographed her parents’ wedding 20 years ago, and I’ve had the chance to document their family a few times since then, so getting to capture this season for her was something special.

We had the kind of soft, glowy light you hope for, tucked into a garden setting that just worked without trying too hard. Rylie made it easy. Her family was there, too, to share in the moments and take some pictures together.

Some wedding days are filled with big crowds and packed dance floors. Others are quiet, meaningful, and centered on the people who matter most. Samara and Ben’s Virginia Beach wedding was exactly that.

From the moment the day began, everything felt relaxed and intentional. There was time to enjoy the small moments, share laughter with family, and take in the excitement without feeling rushed.
