Still not over this little corner of Isle of Hope 🥹 Natalie & Will spent their engagement session strolling through an Isle of Hope neighborhood, and we ended the evening out on the dock of family friend’s home with the sun setting behind them. We made it just in time for that golden Lowcountry light that’s so dreamy and perfect! I cannot WAIT for wedding day this spring with these two!

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions in downtown Savannah is just how much variety you can fit into one little part of the city!

For these two, we started around the Cathedral and made our way through the squares, side streets, greenery, and all the pretty little in between spots that caught our eye along the way.

Something I always tell my couples is that your photos don’t have to happen at the Pinterest perfect spot you see on the Savannah blogs. Some of my favorites almost always come from the walk between them, like this cover photo! You don’t need much in a city like Savannah, a gorgeous backdrop is everywhere 🤍

A little film vs digital from Château de Champlâtreux, just outside of Paris 🎞️

I love love love bringing film along with me on a wedding day, and I see why most couples opt for it! It makes you slow down, pay attention to the light, and be a little more intentional with each frame.

I love mixing the two because they each bring something different. Digital gives me the freedom to document a moment as it unfolds. Film is a little less predictable and that’s part of what I love about it. The imperfections, grain, and character add something to a gallery that digital just can’t quite replicate.

I mixed both throughout this post! Can you tell which are film and which are digital? 👀

Getting to photograph people I love is always extra special, especially when it’s Joshie Dale and Maci Dale!!! This is my cousin Josh (who used to be shorter than me and always beat me at Mario on the Wii), and his gorgeous gal Maci who fits right into our crazy family! Obviously I’m not biased at ALL when I say this session was one of my faves! A little piano playing, a lot of laughing, pretty light, and two people who made my job way too easy

Love you guys!!! Now hurry up and get married!!! 🤍🤍🤍

A little Charleston charm for your feed today ✨

I love getting the chance to step away from timelines and just create, so this editorial shoot was perfect for that! I think my favorite photos will always be the ones that blend documentary moments with a little editorial flair. The laughter is real, the movement is natural, but every photo is still intentional. A little candid, a little cinematic, and the kind of images that feel timeless years from now. Charleston just makes it that much easier. 🤍

The best engagement sessions never feel like a photoshoot!

They feel like an evening date where you wander around together, laugh until your cheeks hurt, steal a few kisses, and forget anyone’s watching.

That’s exactly what this Tybee evening with these two felt like 🌊🤍

If your Pinterest board looked like this...I’d completely understand 😍

Dusty blues, buttery yellows, soft greens, a marshfront ceremony, and a clear-top tent that somehow made an already beautiful setting even more stunning. Every detail felt intentional, timeless, and perfectly at home on the Georgia coast.

Safe to say I’ll never get tired of weddings like this 🤍

If love had a color palette, I think it'd be this ☁️

Just a few days before this, we were shooting the first half of their engagement session in downtown Charleston. We were planning on heading to the beaches in Charleston after downtown, when the skies opened up and completely rained us out. At the time, it was disappointing. We had planned for a specific spot on the beach, I drove two and a half hours to be there, the couple had gotten dressed and ready for this day, and suddenly the beach idea was over before it even happened.

But sometimes the most beautiful things happen when the original plan falls apart. A few days later we found ourselves on Tybee Island for the second half of the session, under the softest shades of pink, peach, and lavender. The kind of sunset that makes you pause for a second and soak it all in. Unexpected but SO beautiful.

Proof that sometimes the best moments come from the plans that don't go as expected. I think this session happened exactly the way it was meant to 🤍
