I’ve got a few updates happening behind the scenes, and I wanted to give everyone a little heads-up as things begin to shift! 🖤

This weekend, Saturday & Sunday, I’ll be wrapping up my current conversations regarding upcoming weddings and other photography services. If we’ve already been talking about something, keep an eye out for a message from me!

You’ll also start noticing some changes to my website and social media as I begin transitioning Kindled Ash Photography into a direction that puts a bigger focus on nature photography, portrait photography, creative projects, and other opportunities outside of weddings and events. 🌿📷

If you already have a session, wedding, or other service scheduled with me, PLEASE DO NOT FRET. ❤️

Your plans are still your plans, and everything currently booked will happen as scheduled. I’m committed to taking care of my existing clients and honoring the commitments I’ve already made.

Moving forward, however, I will not be accepting new weddings or events. This is simply a shift in the direction I want to take my photography and the types of work I want to make room for going forward.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted me to capture their weddings, milestones, families, love stories, and all of the little moments in between. This isn’t me stepping away from photography, quite the opposite actually.

I’m excited to explore what comes next. ✨

I have something a little personal to share about the future of Kindled Ash Photography LLC. Please read.

After the weddings I already have booked for 2026, I will no longer be accepting any new weddings.

And before anyone worries: if you are already booked with me, your wedding is still 100% good to go. I am still incredibly excited to be there and capture your day. ❤️

This decision has honestly been a difficult one to make.

I love weddings. I love the emotion, the chaos, the little moments people don't always notice, and the privilege of being trusted to document one of the biggest days in someone's life.

But I also have to be honest with myself.

Living with a bunch of new-to-me diagnoses like POTS, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and the other health issues that come along with them has started taking a bigger toll on my body than I want to admit. Full days of travel, standing, carrying equipment, constantly moving, and pushing through pain and exhaustion are becoming harder and harder to sustain.

For a long time, I think I have tried to force myself to keep up with the version of photography I thought I should be doing.

But I am learning that there is absolutely nothing wrong with building a business that works with my body instead of constantly asking my body to work against itself.

So, no, I am not giving up photography. Not even close. 📸

I will still be offering mini sessions, engagement sessions, bo***ir, family portraits, creative sessions, and other shorter 1–2 hour sessions.

I am also tweaking my major at Wright State University to lean more into the artistic and creative side of photography. I am even considering continuing on to my Masters, but that is still a plan in progress on the drawing table.

Something not many people know about me is that my original dream was actually to be a National Geographic-style photographer. I imagined traveling the world in a schoolie or a van, documenting beautiful landscapes, a vast array of animals, and spontaneous stories along the way.

Somehow, I stumbled into portrait and event photography. And while I genuinely love what I have been able to do, I think this next chapter is about finding my way back to the parts of photography that feel creatively fulfilling while also allowing me more flexibility with my health.

Sometimes you have to be honest enough to admit that the path you are on is no longer sustainable.

That doesn't mean you failed.

Sometimes it just means you are finally listening to yourself.

Over the next several weeks, I will be updating my website and social media to reflect this shift in services and direction.

Kindled Ash Photography LLC is not going away. If anything, I think this is an opportunity for it to become even more me.

Same camera. Same passion. Same love for storytelling.

Just a different path forward. 🖤📸

Bo***ir isn't something you do once you've become "good enough." It's something you do to celebrate the woman you are right now.

You don't need confidence, I can help you find it.

You don't need posing experience, I've got you covered from head to toe.

You don't need to change your body, you are already worthy of being seen, celebrated, and remembered.

Your only job is to show up. I'll handle the rest. ✨📸

I know you've probably seen this photo before, but I'm going to share it again anyway.

Not because I ran out of photos. Not because it's recent. But because this image represents so much of what I've worked for as a photographer.

What you see is a couple deeply in love, dancing on a hill at sunset with rolling countryside behind them and cows peacefully grazing in the distance. What you don't see is the driveway hidden just behind that hill. You don't see me moving around, searching for the perfect angle to eliminate distractions and let the scene tell the story.

Everything came together that evening: the light, the landscape, the sky, the emotion, and a couple who made every moment feel effortless.

This image reminds me that photography isn't just about pressing a button. It's about seeing possibilities where others might not, finding beauty in the details, and creating something that feels timeless.

Years later, I'm still proud of this one.
