✨ New Name. Same Heart. Fresh Beginnings. ✨

I’m thrilled to share that my photography journey is entering a new chapter as Olive + Fern Photography, now based in the Dayton area.

My love for photography started in 2020 when I volunteered at my local Dream Center. I’d always been the one snapping photos on my phone, so when they handed me my first professional camera, something clicked—literally and figuratively. I also saw how few families had access to beautiful, lasting portraits they could afford. Growing up without family photos myself, I felt called to fill that gap and create images that truly matter.

For a long time I dreamed of changing my business name, but nothing ever felt quite right—until now. Olive + Fern finally feels like home. Olive is a nod to my beloved standard poodle (and constant companion), while Fern symbolizes new beginnings and steady growth (and also my newfound love of plants!)—perfect for this new season in the Dayton area. Together, they represent love, life, and the natural beauty I aim to capture in every frame.

Relocating doesn’t mean I’m saying goodbye to my roots. I still have family in the Defiance area and will happily continue to book sessions there—I love any excuse to come back and visit my wonderful clients and friends. Nothing is changing for those who already have sessions booked; I’m simply expanding and now considered a Dayton photographer as well.

Whether it’s weddings, families, or the quiet in-between moments, my goal is to tell authentic stories that feel timeless and effortless. Here’s to new roots, new connections, and memories that will be cherished for generations.

Where – Thoreau wildlife reserve

How much – $100 total
• $30 non-refundable retainer due at scheduling
• Remaining $70 due at the session

Details – 15-minute session, 10–12 edited images delivered in an online gallery (I typically include more if there are more good ones, but I guarantee 10 to 12)

This is the ONLY chance for mini sessions this fall! October is completely booked, and September is nearly full! Fall will always be my busiest time of year!
