One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings is walking into a new space and finding creative ways to use what’s already around me!
Sometimes we’re working out of hotel rooms, resorts, bridal suites, or spaces we’ve never stepped foot in before. And honestly, I LOVE that part of the creative process!
I love exploring the grounds, finding interesting textures, playing with light and shadows, and discovering little pockets of a space that might not catch your eye at first.
It’s about learning to see things differently and using what’s already in front of you to create something cool while still keeping the overall aesthetic of the wedding day in mind.
And funny enough, some of my FAVORITE photos have come from the most challenging spaces. Because those are the moments that really push me to think outside the box, experiment, and create something I might not have thought of otherwise.
So here’s my little challenge to you: Look beyond the obvious. Chase the light, play with the shadows, find those unexpected little pockets, and CREATE.
Sometimes all it takes is looking at something ordinary a little differently. 🫶🏼
