Some months ago, I had the honor of being featured in Bold Journey Magazine, where I shared pieces of my story.

For me, photography has always been deeper than taking a beautiful picture.

It is about seeing my subjects fully.

It is about creating a safe space where you can exhale… REMEMBER who you are..

My journey has shaped the way I photograph. Every season, every lesson, every moment of rebuilding has become part of the way I hold space for the women who step in front of my lens.

This feature was a reminder that our stories matter. The becoming, the healing, the courage, and the moments where we decide to take up space again.

“SEEN.”

Most people don’t walk into a session feeling confident.

They feel unsure, and not quite sure what to do.

That’s completely normal.

You don’t have to know how to pose.

I guide you through the entire experience so you can ease into it and feel comfortable being seen.

This isn’t about shrinking yourself to fit the frame.

It’s about allowing yourself to take up space within it.

I’m currently in the process of fixing my website’s SSL certificate; something that usually resolves quickly, but this time it’s taking a little longer than expected. (It might even be a sign that it’s time to return to my original hosting platform!)

For AIYANA‘s birthday session, I converted the dining room into a set. During the planning process she mentioned incorporating fruits and other food items into her session. She chose figs, pomegranates.

From there, I made some suggestions and used what I had lying around to create this scene, including a couple of V flats.
