It has been YEARS since I’ve done an intro, and I have sooo many new friends, that I said, ok it’s time!

My name is Janel, I’m the owner, & main photographer for JHP 🤍 a spicy, silly, super empathetic, extra loving little Cuban lady (también hablo español) that just loves to have fun, not take life too serious, but while also being a perfectionist in making sure your best days (especially your wedding day) are the best with me because there really is no other choice 🤣🤍 If you love astrology, I’m a Ta**us sun, Sag moon, and Scorpio rising ⚡️it’s like the power puff girls all in one (sugar, spice & everything nice, & I’d like to say I keep them all pretty balanced 🤣) 🤍

I’ve been in the wedding industry since 2007, & I wasn’t always a wedding photographer, I was actually a wedding singer for 11 years too! 🥹🤍 it wasn’t until end of 2017, that wedding photography really made its way into my life 🤍

With that said, art really has always been a constant in my life. I’ve not only sang for as long as I could speak, and taken photos since 2012, I also write poetry, dance, paint, create content videos, & I’m own nail tech 🤍 along with art, I also absolutely love God, my hubby, my family, my pups, my friends, my home New York, trashy reality TV (Jersey Shore, 90 Day Fiancé (I’ve watched every episode and every spin off 😅), Love Island, Love Is Blind, — you get it it lmao), Batman, dancing (literally any kind of dance), music (again, any kind), LOVE (I love love in every form), the beach, sunsets, sunrises, the pool, theme parks, naps, acting, tik tok, being silly, affectionate, sunflowers, butterflies, traveling, adventure, LAUGHING (I’m obsessed with laughing), banter, sarcasm, my birthstone (the diamond 😏💎), being a girl, spring through fall, nature, working out, good fashion, the finer things in life, good food (spicy food🤣), good vibes, aesthetic (big on aesthetic), the colors green, & black, smelling good, and everything good, actually 🤣🤍

I cry as I type this 😭 one of the most beautiful things I find about weddings are the traditions within them 🤍 whether you create new ones, or follow ones from generations before you, they all leave me in tears, especially when Aria chose to have her grandmother walk her down the aisle 🤍 as a girl whose grandma is her world, I really understood the depth of their love 🤍

This is your sign to have or create your traditions 🤍 ones that will resonate, but most of all, ones that will make you the happiest on your best day 💫

It was always you 🤍💫

MR. + MRS. ADAMS #051626 — these two are the epitome of, if something is meant to be, it will always find its way back 🤍 they met as teens in the early 2000’s, then after going separate ways for a few years, life found a way to bring them right back to the fire that was never really put out to begin with 🤍

We had the most beautiful time celebrating them at the stunning 🤍 we laughed till we cried and danced until our feet were numb 🤍 truly an unforgettable day! I will never forget how much fun we had & how much love was shared 🤍 what a blessing to be able to be part of such beautiful love stories like D+M 🤍 congratulations again my friends! ✨

JESSICA + CAMERON — two of the kindest, carefree people you’ll meet 🤍 when we were searching for a location they wanted a place that had a beach but also some greenery, so we went to one of the best spots I know 🤍 it was a plus that they have planes flying overhead because Cam is actually a pilot which we thought was pretty cool to get in their photos 🤍

we had too much fun during sunrise, & we felt like the only ones at the beach! It was perfect & I can’t wait to keep celebrating them in Oct! 🤍
