Full circle moment. on the cover and my shot of on page 1. Grant was a low-key inspiration for a lot of my career. I was never really one to study photographers work but when I was shooting skateboarding early in my career and looking at the magazines, Grant’s work always seemed to stand out. I especially liked his way of tying the subject matter (in this case skateboarding) to the greater environment artistically. I think that approach has resonated throughout my career. Not necessarily how I approach(ed) shooting skating but more so everything else. Thanks to for including me in this iconic 100th issue. I could not be more proud to be included and a page away from one of my all-time photo-heroes.
