WFSU Building - Red Barber Plaza - Tallahassee, FL

I have really enjoyed exploring New Topographics as of late. Really falling into that spirit and human-built interaction with nature.

Last weekend, I was waiting on my daughter to finish her swim team practice at Morcom and decided to do a little photo walk around the area. It was approximately 11:30am and lighting was harsh. I absolutely fell for the WFSU building, antennae, and dishes in the admittedly harsh mid-day sun. It really scratched my current New Topographic itch. A bit documentarian and banal, but with tons of detail and texture.

- ISO: 100

// RAW file post-processing in Adobe Lightroom
- Simple Crop
- Bumped shadows up a smidge
- Slight S-curve on contrast
- Bump in clarity for some better detailed microcontrast
- Added a little warmth
- export as JPG

Why were bees so drippy this past week?
Because they forgot their yellow jackets.
Bees hide under flowers during rain primarily as a survival instinct to avoid the physical and physiological dangers posed by water. When caught away from their hive, flowers act as temporary "umbrellas" that protect their flight capabilities and body temperature.
