I’ve shot on everything from 35mm and 120 film to micro 4/3 to APS-C to Full Frame mirrorless.

At the end of the day, brand doesn’t matter except for workflow familiarity. That too can be adapted to with effort. Selecting the right tool for the job and focusing on the craft side of your art, not the technical training wheels we give ourselves will always give you an advantage over the new shiny toys.

Getting better equipment does help…
I suggest we get better overall first.

Shooting on my mirrorless cameras is ok, but I feel while it simplifies the process, it removes the imperfections and character. Slight back focus becomes a huge deal. Missing the white balance? Eh you shot in Raw…fix it post.

That’s why I’ve never let go of the feeling of shooting film. You have 12 chances on 6x6…you have to trust your process to get it right.
