As a woman navigating the dynamic landscapes of photography, film and artistry, I’m often met with inquiries about my resilience. How do I thrive in an industry where the playing field is far from level? Where the hurdles are higher and the battles are more intense, solely because of my biology?

But I don’t just survive – I rise. I’m honored to embody the strength and beauty of the skin I’m in. I represent a nation of trailblazing women who are builders, engineers, and storytellers. We’re the architects of our own narratives, geared towards documenting the complexities and triumphs of the human experience.

On this International Women’s Day, as I reflect, I celebrate the unyielding spirit of women everywhere. We’re the ones who shatter glass ceilings, who defy expectations, and who rise above the noise. We’re the ones who create, who inspire, and who empower.

So, what makes me thick? It’s the unwavering support of my sisters, the unrelenting drive within me, and the unapologetic pride I have in being a woman. I’m not just surviving – I’m thriving. And I’m not alone.

These portraits were done to not only remind myself that I possess immense power to create change, it’s also a reminder that I am where I need to be within my journey and with that, I find peace 😇

This season is what they called the “soft life”
I’ve been thinking about that term heavily and it simply means living in a peaceful state of mind or approaching life in a more gentle way, when fitting. That’s what this cycle is for me. Peace.

For most of my adult life I felt like I had to be fight many different battles and for once I feel some form of peace mentally and spiritually. Life will not be all roses however the break from battles can bring new life, new perspectives and a chance to fully see the vision of your life a little clearer. All I’ve ever desired is flow in friendships and any other relationships. If you know me you know I’m not the one for drama. With that said, flowing forward, a flow vibes we a deal wid and if things nah flow we figure it out. Theme to life really. This energy is one that has been lingering since I turned 30.
