Our CEO, Rich Carroll, wrote something this week that we wanted to share with you.

While clearing his late father's home this year, Rich found albums his parents had saved from their parents and the generations before them. More than 120 years of printed photographs, some going back to the early 1900s. People, places and moments that would have been lost to time otherwise.

It is a good reminder of what picture day is actually for.

Right now, that photo on your fridge is just this year's school picture. Ten years from now, it is the year they lost their front teeth. Thirty years from now, it might be the only picture anyone still has of that classroom, that haircut, that exact version of your kid.

That is why we care as much about how a student feels in front of the camera as we do about the photograph itself. It does not need to be perfectly polished. It needs to look like them.
