When my client asked if her daughter could come for a mini session but do mostly dance photos in her dance outfit, my assumption was that she would be wearing a traditional ballet tutu or flowy dress. When she arrived in this black outfit, the photos took a completely different feel than what I had imagined, but I love it! I delivered the pictures in black and white and in color, but the monochrome versions are my favorite. They remind me of some of the classic fine art photos I studied in college. 🤍🖤 It was a fun little creative break in the middle of all the family sessions I was doing that weekend!

My goodness, what a precious little family this is. 💛 So grateful Summer and her sweet kiddos were able to come to these mini sessions! They are pure love, and it was a joy to photograph them.

Another client who is somehow a senior this year-- how did the time go so quickly? 🥹 My first session with Avery's family was over a decade ago, where I photographed her and her little sister playing in some beautiful fall leaves in their neighborhood. I was just getting established as a photographer and those early clients will always have a special place in my heart. They were the ones who took a chance on me even though I was not super experienced yet. Thank you, thank you. 🫶🏻

Some people you look up to until you meet them, but for me it was kind of the opposite with Dolly. I expected one kind of celebrity, but when I saw how she acted on stage and off, I had more admiration and respect for her than before. ❤️

I've taken pictures for Jenna Kate's family for years, but when her mom asked if she could get a few senior pictures taken at my mini sessions, I was like whatttttttt how is she a senior?! 🥹 Jenna Kate looked absolutely stunning and she is equally sweet and kind. I have a good feeling the future is bright for this one!

For my Lake Norman friends-- I am so excited to be hosting BFF Mini Sessions in September!

These are all about celebrating those friendships made earlier in life and having so much FUN while doing it! We'll get several group photo options as well as individual photos of each person, so they'll have special memories captured and you'll have some options to hang on your own wall. *Win Win!*
