PSA.. I photograph more than just people;)
In 2021, a dear family friend asked if I would be interested in training to take over his real estate photography business.
I’ve always loved new opportunities and growing my skills as a photographer, so I said “Let’s do this.”
With his retirement only a month away, I had to learn fast. I became SUPRA certified, invested in professional equipment, and stepped into a completely new side of photography.
And honestly?
The transition wasn’t easy.
Real estate photography was very different from the wedding and lifestyle work I was used to. During my first couple of years, I lost agents while learning how to properly capture listings and understand the industry the way my predecessor had for 20+ years. It was devastating but it pushed me to grow.
I asked agents for feedback, invested in education, upgraded equipment, and spent countless hours mastering HDR photography, video, floor plans, virtual staging, drone work, and more.
Now, five years later, I’m more confident than ever running St. Louis Showcase Real Estate Photography 🤍
