One of the questions I hear most often before a studio session is:
“What kind of backdrops do you have?”
And I totally get why. The backdrop helps set the tone for your photos — but it’s not the whole set.
In the studio, a backdrop is usually just the foundation. From there, I might add flooring, curtains, soft fabrics, baskets, furniture, seasonal props, florals, or layered textures depending on the session.
That means the same backdrop can feel completely different for a milestone session, maternity session, newborn session, a pet portrait, or a holiday mini.
I recently created a Backdrop, Flooring & Set Styling Page so you can see some of what I currently have available, and I wrote a new blog post explaining how I use those pieces across different session types.
Whether you love simple and timeless or something more creative and themed, the goal is always the same: a set that feels intentional, personal, and beautifully styled around your story.
