I’ve been looking forward to sharing this beautiful day with you. There are so many moments from their wedding that I love, from the big celebrations to all of the little in-between moments that made the day theirs.

The most meaningful wedding photographs don’t just preserve a moment. They bring you right back to the feelings you never want to forget. 💜

Earlier this summer, I had the honor of photographing my granddaughter, Charlotte, as one of the flower girls in her Auntie Jen’s wedding.

Before the ceremony, I told her, “When you come down the aisle, Gigi will be there with her camera. Look right at me.”

When those church doors opened, she found me immediately. As her photographer, I captured the moment. As her Gigi, I felt every second of it.

People sometimes wonder if they should include flower girls and ring bearers because they’re a little unpredictable.

But that’s part of the magic.

Weddings aren’t just about two people beginning a marriage. They’re about generations coming together, little personalities shining through, and the moments that become part of your family’s story.

Years from now, this photograph won’t just remind me that Charlotte was the flower girl. It will remind me exactly how I felt when our eyes met.

These are the moments I hope every couple gets to relive for years to come. My job is to notice them, preserve them, and create photographs that bring you right back to the moments you’ll never want to forget.

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. DeMio! 🤍

Emily and Jack tied the knot in Newport a few weeks ago, and I can’t stop looking through these photos.

Before every wedding, I ask my couples if there are any moments that are especially meaningful to them or any photos they’re dreaming of. One thing Emily and Jack told me was that they really wanted to pull off the classic dip at the end of the aisle and they wanted to make sure I captured it.

I’d say they absolutely nailed it. It’s one of my favorite images from their day and such a perfect reflection of the joy they shared from the moment they said “I do.”

Congratulations again, Emily and Jack! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together. 🤍

One of the questions I get asked all the time is, “What should I have ready for my flat lay photos?”

Flat lays have come a long way over the years, and I love seeing how each couple makes them their own. While every wedding is different, here are the details I recommend having ready before I arrive.

Bride’s Details
✨ Invitation suite (including envelopes and your save the date, if you have one. If anything is printed on both sides, bring two copies.)
✨ Engagement ring and both wedding bands
✨ Bridal shoes and perfume
✨ Jewelry, heirlooms, vow books, handkerchiefs, memorial charms, or other meaningful keepsakes
✨ A beautiful hanger for your dress
✨ Any personal details that help tell the story of your day

Groom’s Details
✨ Watch, cufflinks, tie or bow tie, pocket square, shoes, and cologne
✨ Wedding band
✨ Vow book, boutonnière, heirlooms, handwritten notes, or other meaningful keepsakes

One of my favorite tips is to ask your florist to set aside a few loose blooms or greenery. I love incorporating them throughout the styling so your detail photos tie beautifully into the rest of your wedding day.

I always bring a ring box, but if you have a ring dish or velvet box that matches your wedding style, bring it! Those little personal touches make your photos feel even more like you.

One last tip: Before the wedding day, gather all of these items into a box or bag and ask a bridesmaid and groomsman to keep them with them while you’re getting ready. That way, when it’s time for detail photos, everything is in one place and no one is searching for a missing ring, shoe, or cufflink.

The best flat lays aren’t about having the most details. They’re about thoughtfully telling the story of your wedding day through the little things you’ll treasure for years to come.

If their engagement session was any indication, tomorrow is going to be such a fun day.

I had the best time with Emily + Jack at Powder Point Bridge in Duxbury last summer, and I just love how these photos turned out. So much laughing, so much fun, and such an easy couple to photograph.

I can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow at Newport Beach House 🤍 See you soon!

Every detail was thoughtfully planned, but what I’ll remember most is how joyful and effortless the day felt.

That’s exactly what I want every couple to experience in front of my camera. The best images don’t come from perfectly practiced poses. They come from feeling comfortable enough to laugh, move naturally, and simply enjoy being together.

Meet the Christinas 🤍

Some wedding days are special because they’re beautiful. Others are special because of the people. This one was both.

Getting to celebrate these two, not just as a photographer but as family, made this day one I’ll never forget. Every detail was so thoughtfully planned, OceanCliff was the perfect backdrop, and somehow these two still managed to outshine it all.
