I’m in this strange phase with photography right now where I have almost no interest in even picking up my camera. It’s confusing, because I still enjoy my other hobbies, so something clearly shifted and I’m not sure what.

Over the summer I took SO many shots that I’m starting to wonder if I just burned myself out. I have a big Italy trip in June that I know I’ll want to document, but I definitely don’t want to haul all of my gear around. I’m thinking it might be time to consolidate my lenses, simplify my setup, or even switch up my genre a bit… who knows.

For now, I’m perfectly happy letting my iPhone handle the day-to-day photos of my life while a metamorphosis of sorts takes shape in the background. Here’s a shot from October during my last session!

I’ve been waiting to share these photos for so long! 🏜️

If you haven’t had the chance to visit a slot canyon in Arizona, I can’t recommend it enough. The light and textures inside Upper Antelope Canyon are truly otherworldly.

I have been sitting on these photos since I am still in the process of obtaining the proper documentation through the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Department: I want to be sure everything is handled with full respect for their policies and stewardship of their sacred land.

For now, these images are shared here for appreciation, personal use, and educational display only. Not for sale or commercial use at this time.

This makes me think of all those who have come before me who were able to see this view. Without artists, how would they have described it? Even with photo evidence, I know that the picture only tells 25% of the story. One day, I know that I will go back to hear the full story again. 🏞️
