Sometimes all it takes is one photograph to remind you why you picked up a camera in the first place.

Today one of my images received ViewBug’s Pause Award—an award recognizing photographs that make people stop scrolling and look a little longer.

As a photographer, that’s one of the greatest compliments I could receive.

Thank you to every family who trusts me to capture your moments. Awards are exciting, but preserving memories that become priceless years later will always be the greatest reward.
