I do not know what it is like to be a trans person. I do not know the mental anguish, the torment, the turmoil, and all the rest that comes with being a trans person. It is impossible for me to experience your experience, because it is not my own. What I CAN do, however, is stand with you, sit with you, cry with you, rejoice with you, and support you. Your journey teaches me how to show up differently than a past version of myself. Your journey teaches me about bravery and strength. Your journey challenges me to adjust my point of view to allow a different perspective. Above all, your journey shows me the importance of honoring and showing up for oneself, when no one else will. You humble me and you inspire me. And I love you. So, so much. I see you, sweet brothers and sisters. I see you, I honor you, and I love you.

Sunrise on the last Monday of 2021 was pretty spectacular. Although our concept of time is a feeble attempt to exert some type of control over the universe, I don’t mind saying that 2021 flew right on by. I learned a lot about myself and I’m very grateful for those lessons. I hope your holidays have been enjoyable. If they haven’t been, rest assured it’s almost over. A new season of healing and discovery awaits. Maybe the next holiday season will find us more evolved, more healed, and more self-aware than today. Until then … blessings to you all.
