It’s the lipstick kiss on the cheek for me.

This. First. Look. When I tell you there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, I’m serious. They had their personalized hankies, and my second photographer and I were over there desperately looking for tissues to wipe our tears.

And my favorite part? They rolled a D&D die to decide who would read their private vows first. Such a small thing, but so them.

This whole moment was so real, so personal, and it was such an honor to witness. Happy tears, genuine emotions, and yes, there were still plenty of tears during the ceremony as well.

Your wedding day has never just been about the two of you.

It’s about your dad trying not to cry before walking you down the aisle. Your grandmother squeezing your hand a little tighter. Your best friends hyping you up while you get ready. The hugs that last a little longer than expected. The people who have prayed for you, supported you, celebrated every milestone, and now get to witness this one too.

Yes, your love story is the reason everyone is there. But it’s also the story of everyone who helped shape your story.

That’s why I don’t just photograph the first kiss and the portraits. I’m watching for your mom’s face during the ceremony. Your grandpa laughing during dinner. The flower girl twirling when nobody’s paying attention. Your college roommates losing it on the dance floor. The quiet moments you never even knew happened.

Because years from now, these are the photos that bring you right back.

I want to know who you can’t wait to hug. Who you’re excited to dance with. Which family traditions mean the most to you. Those little pieces matter because they’re part of your story.

Who knew a giraffe could third-wheel an engagement session so perfectly? 🦒🌿 (and a lion, and a tiger…)

Sometimes I randomly remember that Ellen + Matt got to feed a giraffe during their engagement session. HOW COOL IS THAT?

Just a reminder: there’s no “right” way to do your engagement photos. Your session should feel like YOU. Let’s work together to design an adventure that’s basically your best date ever (with me and a camera along for the ride).

Can we just talk about a wedding day at The Carriage House

I’m so looking forward to photographing there multiple times this year. The space is gorgeous—from the getting ready spots to ceremony and reception spaces, and all the photo ops. Plus, the staff is so kind and helpful, which means the world to both couples and vendors.

One of my FAVORITE weddings there was Andrew and Mike’s. They got ready with their closest friends, had a ceremony with speeches that touched everyone’s heart (including mine), took stunning sunset portraits, danced and celebrated with their favorite people, and ended the night with a whimsical bubble send-off.

If you’re thinking about The Carriage House , this is me saying go for it.
