Sunday night, I got to hop over to Mitchell for Miley’s senior session, and goodness, this one was extra special to me. 🤍

I have been family friends with the Wieczoreks for as long as I can remember. Our families have gone to church together for years, and I grew up with Miley’s older sister, Brooke, who was one of my very best friends. I actually have vivid memories of Miley as a literal baby in her carseat, which is so crazy to think about now. 😂 I have watched her grow up as the quiet but sweetest little sister who somehow became everyone’s favorite. She is funny, kind, caring, and always thinking of others.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching Miley in Sunday school, being her camp counselor, and even spending time with her and her friends during little weekend girls retreats at our house. Watching her grow, not only into the beautiful young woman she is today, but also in her relationships with the Lord and the people around her, has been so special to witness.

And now somehow, she is a senior. 🥹

Miley booked my top senior package, which meant she got to start her afternoon being pampered with professional hair and makeup before absolutely NAILING her session. After her final gallery is delivered, we will also get to design a beautiful album together so these memories can be enjoyed for years to come.

If you know Miley, you love her. There is just something so genuinely sweet about her, and getting to capture this season of her life feels like such a gift. I could honestly get emotional thinking about the little girl I have known and how incredibly beautiful she has grown up to be.

Miley, I cannot wait to see all that God has in store for you during your senior year and in the years ahead. It has been such a joy to watch you grow, and I am so grateful I get to capture a little piece of this exciting season for you. 🤍

Just sent Dylan + Caitlin these sneak peaks after their engagement session from this week and 😍😍😍😍!!!!!

Our Sioux Falls Engagement Session was perfect! 🤩 These two are just newly engaged and planning the most stunning winter wedding I am so excited to capture at the Almond Branch in Fulton, SD this December.

Is it too early to get excited for Christmas? 🎄 Because spending time with these two makes me have all the more reason to! Caitlin and I have been friends literally before I can remember. We've followed such a similar path, running track (and breaking records together😉...in high school AND then in college too)! Both being sprinters + from the same high school and then going off to the same college eventually to compete together again, we've spent so much time together! I remember her coming on a college visit and staying in my dorm room with me, and the time I came back to our home town as she signed her track letter of intent with Northwestern College Athletics ... I can think of so many times we've laughed and laughed together on buses and times we almost died working out together too. 😂🙃 Getting to go off to college together and witness so many seasons for each other is something I just won't take for granted. 🥹

What a special gift to get to see her find the love she and Dylan have and now get to be with them for their wedding day!

OKAY WHATTTT. 😭✨

I had the absolute BEST senior session with Alexis last night, and I just could not get out the door to a wedding today without sharing a few sneak peeks!

Alexis and her mom, Amanda, made the trip to Sioux Falls, and we started the evening with her getting completely pampered by my dear friend Angelique at Platinum Imagination Hair and Makeup. She absolutely NAILLED Alexis’s hair and makeup. The chic updo Alexis chose framed her face perfectly, and I swear she just kept getting more and more beautiful every time I looked at her!

Then we had the most perfect weather, the most beautiful location, and two hours together to create some magic. Alexis booked my top senior package, which includes professional hair and makeup and a full two hours of session time, and she absolutely made the most of it!

And her SMILE. 😭 It is radiant.

I genuinely hope I wasn't annoying last night because I’m pretty sure I spent the entire session saying:

“WOW.”
“SO PRETTY.”
“YOU ARE STUNNING.”
“AHHHHH!”
“OKAY WOW!”
“YES!!!”
“LOVE!”

😂😂😂

But seriously, Alexis, you are BEAUTIFUL. I cannot stop staring at these images!

And there was an especially meaningful part of her session that I will treasure.

The Wall family attends our church, and this year has brought such a deep loss for their family as they said goodbye to Alexis’s dad and Amanda’s husband, Cody. We have all felt that loss alongside them.

So it felt incredibly special that, organically, we were able to honor Cody during her session. Alexis has a tattoo that she and her dad shared, and underneath it are words written in his own handwriting on her arm. We made sure to capture a few images that highlighted that beautiful connection.

I just wish he could have been there with us to see her.

Alexis, I hope you know how incredibly special you are. You are beautiful inside and out, and I cannot wait to see where God takes you in this next chapter of your life. 🤍

I just don't have words for this session!!!
Gracie Ries and her whole fam drove all the way to Sioux Falls to come visit me for the first of her two Senior Sessions.

With my top Senior Package, I offer professional hair and makeup and two nights together throughout your Senior Year! I'm so excited for one more night with Gracie... because of images like this!!! I can't wait to feature more of her, her sports, and the things that make her HER!

Multiple times I was showing Gracie images on the back of my camera and I wish I could just bottle up her reactions. She had me laughing many times, but she just kept saying "These don't even look real!!!" She told me she felt beautiful in these images, and more than anything else, thats what matters the most to me!

Giving people pictures that they love of themselves. The way you want to be captured! It's a special privilege to get to do that for so many people! I don't take that for granted.

It's been a summer full of Seniors!!! It's been a few weeks since I got to spend the evening with Owen Raml, but I HAD to share a few sneak peaks from his Senior Session.

This one stretched me artistically in new ways, as I rarely get to play with my flashes during a senior session! Usually thats just pulled out on wedding days during the reception, but this was the perfect time to capture some indoor basketball and sport photos for Owen.

Owen's Senior year is going to be one for the books - maybe even history books and school records!? 😉 With how involved and dedicated he is, combined with his skills, talents and work ethic, he's one to take note of - thats for sure!

Thank you Raml family for having me and allowing me to capture such a special season for Owen! I am absolutely cheering you on!!! Can't wait to see how far you'll go!

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Some are beautiful because of the people.

Marcus and TyAnn's wedding day was both.

I've known TyAnn for more than a decade, since we were just middle school girls trying to figure out life.

Through all these years, she has remained one of the most genuine, gracious, and Christlike people I've ever known. She loves deeply, serves faithfully, and carries herself with a quiet strength and integrity that draws people in.

Their wedding day at Beaver Creek Chapel in Harrisburg, SD reflected exactly who they are. Joyful. Intentional. Christ centered. Surrounded by family and friends who adore them. One of my favorite moments was watching TyAnn during the receiving line. As person after person came through to hug them and celebrate their marriage, she became overwhelmed with emotion, realizing just how deeply loved they are.

There wasn't a dry eye around her.

The entire day pointed to something greater than themselves. The Gospel was woven throughout every part of their celebration, and their marriage already stands as a beautiful testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness.

To make the weekend even sweeter, TyAnn graduated from law school the day before her wedding and celebrated both her birthday and her wedding day on May 9th. Talk about a weekend full of milestones.
Marcus and TyAnn, what an honor it was to stand beside you, celebrate with you, and capture the beginning of this new chapter. Your love for the Lord and for your people is evident in everything you do.

Some wedding days feel sacred from the very beginning, and Nate and Kate's was one of them. They brought me all the way to Kansas to spend the full weekend alongside them, capturing everything from their rehearsal dinner to the wedding day itself.

Woven together with generations of family history, deep intentionality, and a love rooted firmly in christ, every part of their celebration
carried meaning. From Kate wearing her mother's redesigned wedding dress and veil, to rings honoring beloved grandfathers, to their grandmothers who have been friends since high school signing their marriage license together, it all felt like a beautiful passing down of legacy, faith, and love.

After years of cheering me on from afar, it was finally Kate's turn and what a gift it was to capture a love story so genuine, timeless, and full of grace.

Thank you, Nate and Kate. I am so grateful and blessed to have captured this day for you.

POV: your necklace doesn’t move ONCE all wedding day 👏🏼

The cheapest bridal hack you didn’t know you needed: GLUE DOTS. 😘

As a wedding photographer, I always keep them in my emergency kit and this might be one of my favorite little tricks ever. Just place a tiny glue dot on the back of your necklace to keep it perfectly in place all day long. No spinning. No crooked chain. No fixing it every five seconds in photos. Just set it once and forget about it 🤍

This is especially perfect for:
