Wedding days have a way of flying by… one minute you’re getting ready, the next you’re on the dance floor wondering how it all went so fast.
Maddie Comeau & Cody's day began with rain and unfolded into the dreamiest, soft overcast light - effortlessly romantic and timeless in every way.
Inside, the reception was filled with the most beautiful spring colors soft, elegant, and full of life… the kind of details that make a celebration feel both elevated and deeply personal.

The newborn stage is beautiful… and also a blur.
Between feedings, sleepless nights, and adjusting to a new routine, booking photos can feel like one more thing on the list.

Sometimes I think about all the seasons of motherhood I’ve photographed over the last 11 years. The brand new babies. The wobbly toddlers. The missing front teeth. The first day of school smiles.
I’ve lived through those stages with my own kids too… and now somehow we’re here. Pr***en and teen life in all its complicated, funny, beautiful glory.
My babies are almost 12 and 16.
And let me tell you getting them dressed and out the door for photos is not easier at this stage. They roll their eyes. They ask “Do we have to?” They promise they’ll smile for exactly two photos which I can only post those two photos!
But when I look back at images like these, I’m reminded why it matters.
Because somewhere between the newborn snuggles and the senior year countdown… the years speed up in a way you don’t expect.
Even as a photographer, I don’t take photos of my own kids as often as I should. And this session was a little reminder to myself that these ages deserve to be documented too.
The almost-grown smiles.
The personalities.
The stage right before everything changes again.
