MOUNTAIN STRONG!
The White Mountains take care of their own.

Our hearts are heavy for the families and individuals throughout the White Mountains who have been affected by the recent flooding. We can’t imagine how heartbreaking it must be to see your home or business damaged, lose precious belongings, or suddenly not know where you’re going to stay.

We are praying for everyone affected, for strength during these difficult days, and for the long road of recovery ahead.

One thing we have always loved about living in the White Mountains is the way our communities come together when times get tough. We take care of each other, and right now, some of our neighbors really need us.

That’s why Spearfish RV Resort is partnering with the Darrin Reed Foundation to help provide temporary accommodations for families displaced by the flooding.

❤️ HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We are asking our community to come together and help support our neighbors who have been affected.

Donations through the Darrin Reed Foundation will help cover utilities, essential supplies, and other expenses associated with providing temporary accommodations for displaced families.

100% of donations designated for flood relief will stay right here in the White Mountains to support our local flood victims.

Donations made through the Darrin Reed Foundation are tax-deductible!

To make a donation, visit:

Please specify “FLOOD RELIEF” when making your donation so your contribution can be directed toward helping local victims affected by the flooding.

DO YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW NEED A TEMPORARY PLACE TO STAY?

Spearfish RV Resort is offering 7 FREE NIGHTS to families and individuals displaced by the flooding throughout the White Mountains.

We know seven nights won’t solve everything, but we hope it gives our neighbors in need a little breathing room while they figure out their next steps.

A few things to know:

* Limited RV sites available.
* Guests must have their own RV with a working restroom.
* Must have been displaced by the recent flooding in the White Mountains.
* Proof of displacement is required.
* First 7 consecutive nights are complimentary.
* Discounted extended stays are available.
* Reservations are subject to availability and approval.

📞 For assistance and reservations, please call 928-892-5518.

We are proud to call the White Mountains home, and even prouder to be part of a community that shows up for one another when it matters most.

Please keep those affected in your prayers.

Mesoscale Discussion 2397
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
Areas affected...Eastern Arizona and western New Mexico

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 691...692...

Valid 221607Z - 221730Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 691, 692 continues.

SUMMARY...Threat for a mix of supercells and storm clusters will spread eastward from Arizona into New Mexico by this afternoon. A new watch will likely be needed downstream into New Mexico, with the potential for local watch extensions farther west into central AZ.

DISCUSSION...Scattered thunderstorms, a few with supercell structures, continue across central and eastern AZ, with the stronger storms focused near the edge of the higher terrain. Convection will likely persist into the afternoon as forcing for ascent develops eastward/northeastward in advance of a midlevel trough over southern CA that will begin to eject east-northeastward. Cloud breaks will contribute to destabilization farther northeast with time across AZ/NM, in an environment with long hodographs favoring splitting supercells and clusters. The stronger low-level shear/hodograph curvature and somewhat richer low-level moisture are focused near the Mogollon Rim in central AZ with some eastward expansion expected into this afternoon, where a couple of tornadoes will be possible. Otherwise, large hail and damaging gusts will be the main concerns through the afternoon. A new watch is likely into western NM by 17z, and some combination of local watch extensions and the new watch will be needed as far west as central AZ.
