Dark or light? Candles, tulips, yellow flower, silhouette or peacock? Which picture pulls your eye first? I love how the same light can feel completely different depending on where it falls. Tell me which one you picked - I’m curious what you noticed first. More on how I read light in my link in my bio - Architecture of Light

She Loves How Light Reveals
Behind Lisa's Lens Photography

After more than twenty years behind the lens, I finally put into words something I’ve taught intuitively for years:

Light is not simply illumination. It is architecture.

The Architecture of Light: How Light Sculpts a Photograph is a 37-page illustrated digital guide featuring my original photography and the way I’ve learned to read, shape, and work with light.

We explore how light creates dimension, mood, texture, and story—and how to move beyond simply finding “good light” toward understanding why an image feels quiet, dramatic, dimensional, intimate, or alive.

Digital Edition — $19.95

Available now through Behind Lisa’s Lens.

The Architecture of Light: How Light Sculpts a Photograph is now available as a 37-page illustrated digital guide featuring my original photography.

We explore how light creates dimension, mood, texture and story—and how to recognize and shape it with greater intention rather than simply reacting to what is there.

This is for photographers who want to move beyond "good light" and start understanding why an image feels dimensional, quiet, dramatic, intimate or alive.
