there is something extraordinary about a wedding where nearly everyone in the room understands the art of preserving a moment. cameras tucked beneath arms, film advancing, little glances exchanged across the table - there was a shared appreciation for the fleeting, the in-between, the moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. and somehow, amidst all those cameras, what I remember most is how deeply everyone was there.
a villa in Tuscany, their closest friends and family gathered around them and a happiness that seemed to find its way into every corner of the day. these two are the kind of people whose joy is contagious, whose love is unmistakable and whose presence makes everyone around them feel more alive. they have a way of making people feel seen, welcomed and genuinely wanted. everyone in their orbit is better for having known them.
the day felt quintessentially Italian in the most beautiful sense. unhurried, considered, full of life. a villa, a long table surrounded by their favorite people, the kind of laughter that carries late into the evening and two people so unmistakably in love that you hardly needed to look for it. their happiness was everywhere. in the way they looked at each other, in the way they held their people close, in the way the entire day felt less like an occasion to perform and more like a life they were already so grateful to share.
some weddings stay with you for their setting, others for the beauty of what unfolds in front of your lens. this one will stay with me for the people… for the openness with which they love and the rare privilege of being invited into something so wholly theirs.
to have been chosen by two people who understand, perhaps better than most, what it means to preserve a life in photographs and film and to have been made to feel so much a part of the day myself - che privilegio. 🤍
