Time is flying and soon your kids will be too. Soaring off on that next adventure that life has in store for them.

Oftentimes, families book Senior Sessions thinking they just want to get a couple of pictures of their child for the yearbook or tribute page.

Yet ALWAYS, they leave realizing that it's more than that. It's booking a day where time freezes for just a moment. The busy-ness of the day to day, the responsibilities that we find urgency in all fade away and we are left with the understanding that this, THIS is where the urgency lies. It lies in the time we spend connecting with our kids. A day where we celebrate all they are and all they are becoming. A day where we can laugh with them, smile with them, and understand the true meaning of this human experience.

So if you are in this boat (I will be in a year) and are feeling that tug of emotion as the clock ticks down, reach out. It's my Birthday! And I am so grateful for another year and to be able to experience being a human. The learning, the growing, the unlearning, the falling back to rise again. It's such a privilege that I am not always keenly aware of. But lately I've really been thinking alot about life and the connections we make, the connections we break and how the years pass by quicker as you get older. Trying to hold on to the now as tightly as possible while looking forward to the experiences to be had in the future.
