Coastal Georgia Fine Art Prints

Coastal Georgia Fine Art Prints I strive to capture the God-created beauty of Coastal Georgia during fleeting moments for you to experience and bring into your own home.

To inquire about purchasing a fine art print, DM me. Coastal Georgia is an area that I was born and raised in and care deeply about. Its 100 miles of barrier island exudes a sense of beauty, adventure, and freedom, and I feel connected to it. It pains my heart when I see development or human overuse overtaking the natural beauty of some of it. That's why I love to explore, experience, and photogra

ph the beauty of the area and share with others who will see what deserves to be protected for future generations. If you would like to inquire about purchasing a fine art print, send me a direct message.

Sometimes people in the scene can give context to the image and the size and scale of things. However, even the people in these scenes don't give a true context as to the scale of earth and our solar system in this scene. Think of it... Our planet earth with it's sun and solar system is no bigger than any of the bright stars you see in the sky in these scenes.

Milky Way pic from Hilton Head Island, SC. The Jetty Rocks might have been underwater from the high tide when we started, but after a few hours we looked for them on the way back. They were actually a little difficult to find in the dark. I like the way they add a leading line out to the horizon. They also remind me of a giant alligator's back in the water.

Milky Way pic from our coastal barrier island just to the north of Tybee... Hilton Head Island! And we also proved, at least to ourselves, that this type of photography can be done in a location that is typically thought impossible due to light pollution. I taught my methods to the Camera Club of HHI, we planned months ahead for the best possible location and time, and once again got very lucky with clear skies. God is good and has been good to us by revealing this to us on the nights we need Him to. If you look close, you can see my shadow in the water.

Another Great Blue Heron on the nest. This one has the adult in the nest and juvenile is begging for food. The only source of food or liquid for egrets or herons until they fledge the nest comes from the adults.

Wood Ducks going out to feed with the adult female following behind. These ducks are hatched in wood cavities or wood boxes but once they leave the nest, they don't return. Clutch sizes can range from 6-16 and up to two broods per season. They jump from the nest (sometimes as high as 60 ft.) only a day after hatching. They can hide in the brush along the bank and the duck week growing on top of the water is edible to them. So, they rely on alertness and speed to avoid the gators, but the gators can be very stealthy and camouflaged when hunting.
