I am Lisa Barksdale and I am a photographer based in Savannah, GA servicing the surrounding area as well as Tybee Island, Fripp Island, Hilton Head Island, the Lowcountry, and worldwide! I love all types of photography including families, seniors, portraits, and much more. My approach is very candid, relaxed, fun and as stress-free as possible! Photography has been my passion for as long as I can
remember. I'm the one that probably drives you nuts with my camera when we are out and about but trust me, you will appreciate it when you look back or receive the Facebook flashbacks and we can laugh. Yes, I have powers! I have the ability to freeze time and capture memories you will look back on forever. I can't image a more special gift. I love watching families/couples interact and running with kids capturing their organic smiles and giggles. Well, I was born and raised in Dallas, TX (and YES, everything is bigger and better in TX - HA!) and felt the need to explore so I ventured off to the University of Georgia - GO DAWGS! After graduation, I settled in Savannah where I fell in love with the south. The culture and beauty that surrounds us is something I still do NOT take for granted. In 2004, my best friend met my "future husband" and she was right! We married in 2006 and now have 2 amazing kids who are 11 and 13 and keep us busy. Everyday is an adventure and I wouldn't trade it for the world. In my "spare time," if I don't have a camera in my hand, I am traveling the world, coaching basketball and soccer through the YMCA, and volunteering at the schools. When I settled in Savannah, I quickly emerged into the hospitality scene and worked for Hilton for many years before I started my own business, Connect Event Management. After more than 16 years in the hospitality business, my photography business took off and has become a full time passion of mine. Through both of my businesses, there is one thing that is certain.
