Attention!

This post is not Ai. This photo is not Ai. We created this using multiple photos of Sallie's girls tossing fabric around till we got a few that looked just right for each side, then I put them together in photoshop - again, without Ai. I added this gorgeous sparkle flower overlay to the backdrop by hand in photoshop using my 30 years of photoshop experience. It may not be perfect, but it's hand-made with love, and the memories of this day will be with my sweet client and her girls for years to come.

Something Ai simply cannot replicate.

Ai can feel like a super convenient helper, and maybe even help you feel like you're pushing your creative limits further than you could on your own if you're a creator. And I admit, it can be fun to play around for a one off image or goofy trend that's going around the socials. But I feel like the less I rely on it for everyday tasks and things I know I am good at, the more connected I feel - to my work, my clients, my friends, and most importantly, my family.

Because at the end of the day, life, like photography, is all about connection. And I'm not going to let AI take away from the real life experiences that nurture those connections for the sake of convenience.

What do you think? What place does Ai have in your life? Would love to hear other peoples thoughts in the comments - I know that there are wildly varied opinions on this. Are you using AI?

My little peanut is not so little anymore and I’m not ok 😭

03/10/2026

After 8.5 years, it was finally time to replace my favorite photo of my peanut from her newborn session. This photo was hung in our first home, moved states with us and still stayed on the wall, 3 houses later (don’t worry, I still have a little one displayed where I can see it). When Katerina saw the new photo hung in its place, she squealed in delight and said it’s perfect. She truly loves and values seeing images of herself displayed in our home and we love how special it makes her feel. She immediately requested that I have a painting commissioned of her kitty to hang opposite her painted portrait so Izzy can feel special, too 😆. We’ll see (mom code for probably not lol).

My sweet client is welcoming her third baby today🤍

This was our sixth session together, and in just a couple of weeks, I’ll be photographing her baby boy, which somehow makes this our seventh session already.🫶🥹

Watching families grow over the years like this never gets old. From maternity to milestones and now welcoming another little soul ♥ It’s such an honor to be trusted with these chapters.

This is just a small glimpse from a much larger, multi-location session, one I can’t wait to share more of soon.

Thinking of you today Sallie ♥🤍
