Lakewood Ranch Digital Photography Club is an organization of photographers of all levels. You do not have to be a Lakewood Ranch resident to join us.

LWRDPC is a photography club / camera club based in the Lakewood Ranch community near Bradenton and Sarasota, Florida. Monthly meetings are held at the Manatee Fire Rescue Admin. Office, 3200 Lakewood Ranch Blvd, Bradenton, Florida.

A Field Trip to Venice Pier!
Venice Pier is always a popular destination for photographers, and our members were looking forward to an evening of sunset, a sliver of the moon, and hopefully some Milky Way photography.
As often happens in photography, Mother Nature—and a little beach restoration—had other plans!
With beach restoration underway, we couldn’t get as close to the pier as we had hoped, and cloud cover eventually put an end to our plans for photographing the moon and Milky Way.
But the evening was far from a disappointment! We enjoyed a wonderful, well-attended dinner together, and Mother Nature treated us to an absolutely gorgeous sunset. Our members certainly made the most of it—and the photos are proof of that!
Sometimes the best field trips are the ones that don’t go quite according to plan.

Everyday People at Work — A Different Kind of Field Trip!
For members traveling seasonally or exploring far beyond our local area, our quarterly Capture • Catch • Create challenges offer a fun way to stay inspired, creative, and connected—wherever the road may lead.
This quarter’s theme was “Everyday People at Work,” challenging our photographers to capture everyday people engaged in everyday activities.
Open to our members anywhere in North America and abroad, these creative challenges encourage photographers to see the world around them a little differently, step outside their usual comfort zones, and discover interesting images in people, subjects, and places they may have overlooked before.
Sometimes the most compelling photographs are found in the ordinary moments happening all around us. Enjoy the photos!
