Lately, I’ve found myself holding onto moments a little tighter.
This year has reminded me just how precious life really is.
Two miscarriages. Another deployment. So many changes. Running a business while trying my best to love my babies well through it all.
Some days have felt really heavy.
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that God’s grace shines brightest in the darkest places.
When your husband serves, you learn quickly that time isn’t something to take for granted. The ordinary moments become the ones you treasure most. Tiny hands reaching for yours. Wind-blown hair. Forehead kisses. Bare feet in the sand. The feeling of being together, even if only for a little while.
Maybe that’s why these photos mean so much to me.
Because the truth is, none of us know how many summers we get.
So I wanted to remember it all.
The way my daughter ran down the beach without a care in the world. The way my son still curls up in my arms. The way my husband looked at us. The way we laughed together.
Safe.
Loved.
Together.
Looking through these photos feels like looking through answered prayers.
Not because life has been easy, but because God has been present through every part of it.
I can’t thank enough for capturing every detail I dreamed of and somehow giving me even more than I imagined. These don’t feel like photographs to me, they feel like memories I can hold in my hands.
And if there’s one thing I hope you take away from this post, it’s this:
Take the photos.
Book the family session.
Stop waiting for the perfect season.
Because life is happening right now.
Your children are growing right now.
This season is worth remembering.
The messy parts. The beautiful parts. The exhausting parts.
All of it.
After a year like this, I can tell you with complete confidence:
The photographs you almost didn’t take will one day become the ones you treasure most.
