Similar to Lost Maples, but with more water ,Garner state park felt away from south Texas with an east Texas feel.
This is the last hillcountry before you hit west Texas.
I'm sure it looks nice during the fall.

The Frio River in Texas is beautiful ,cold and clear. The weather seems a bit cooler by it as well. Ww will be back to kayak and float. Frio River Resorts Garner State Park

Spent 1 night in beautiful Savanah, Georgia . We really didn't have any plans to do anything. So we just hung around our hotel. We did walk about 7 blocks to get to the bay. We are also learning that most hotels do not have microwaves anymore.
We tried fried green tomatoes,
Hummingbird cake ,pecan praline candy . We ate at this restaurant that had a view of the Savannah river, but I regret not going to a southern restaurant that served biscuits and fried chicken.
