August 2026 Birthday Bash Daytime Kite Fly at Port Aransas Beach TX 🪁🪁♦️😎💫

The August Birthday Bash is another annual kite festival which brings multiple area kite clubs together to celebrate some of our members who have birthdays in August. Any excuse to gather together and fly kites.

This video was flown mid morning, before a couple of groups arrived. They were delayed due to a fatality accident on the highway between Corpus Christi and Port Aransas and the detour around thru Aransas Pass to ride the Ferry added several hours of delays.

So just be aware this was only half of the size later in the afternoon. Unfortunately, we were too busy putting up more of our kites, to have time for another drone flight. The kites you see here, were mostly from members of the San Antonio Area Kite Club.

We were flying at a construction job site at Canyon High School in New Braunfels Texas and spotted these Seniors painting parking spots in the Student area of the parking lot.

We were out at the Canyon High School in New Braunfels this morning... The Canyon High School PTSA has an annual fundraiser where Seniors at the High School can "rent" a private parking spot for the school year. We flew around the area as some of the Seniors were painting their reserved parking spots. Some were already finished and others were still blank. This is a dash cam video from when we spotted a runaway trash can in the rain. And it had been raining so hard, that the water was washing the empty trash can down the road. We chased it around the corner, watching it collide with other trash cans until we were able to stop it. The water was about 3 inches deep along the edge of the road. We tried to return the runaway trash can to the right place, but don't know if it came from further up Timberwilde or not.

SpongeBob SquarePants doesn't live in a pineapple under the Sea anymore... He flies in the Sky and lights up at night. A real crowd pleaser, especially for the children, at the Kite Festivals here in Texas.
