Last Thursday, I had the honor of capturing Burt’s Knights Battalion Ball — an evening rooted in tradition, respect, and service. From the uniforms to the stories shared throughout the night, it was a powerful reminder of the sacrifice and dedication carried by our military members and their families.

With Memorial Day here, I’m especially reminded that our freedom has never come free. I’m forever grateful for my own family members who have served, and for every man and woman who has worn the uniform.

May we never become so comfortable in our freedom that we forget someone else gave their life for it.
