Photography by Hilary Hi! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Hilary. I am a portrait photographer, whom services the Salem, Oregon metro area, and beyond. What makes me tick?

I am a devoted wife and a nurturing mama bear of 3 (or technically 7 if we count the furry companions). My family is my entire universe, whom inspires my work (and they make great 'guinea pigs' when I want to try something new in photography)! Life is too short to be serious all the time - so when the opportunity arises, I proudly lean into my quirky side. :) Volleyball is life in my household (an

d yes, I’m fully obsessed). The ocean is my happy place. At home we are entertained by two Boxer sister dogs and two brother cats (they keep things VERY lively). When it's chill time, I indulge in my favorite things- spending time with my fam, naps, cooking/grilling, ice cream, and binge watching shows written by Taylor Sheridan ;). My portfolio dances between color and black n’ white, and my photography style is natural, timeless, true to life, clean and classic. I love capturing real, genuine emotion and the moments that tell one's story and/or show who they are. In front of my lens, I strive to create a space where you can be your truest self, unmasked, without filters. All that said, let’s create memories together—affordably, authentically, and eternally. If you haven't already, would you willing to write a Google review about your experience with me?

I'm just starting to use Google reviews, and I feel it's important for potential clients, who are searching online, to see reviews from actual people I've worked with-not just testimonials I've shared myself on my website. (Previously, clients simply emailed their review to me and I posted it on my website alone.) I still plan to share reviews via my testimonials page on my website, but I'll just grab them from Google 😉.

All you need to do is pull up Google Maps, type in “Photography by Hilary, Salem Oregon” in your map search, click on the yellow stars, and then you will see a ‘Reviews’ link. When you click on that, you’ll see an option to leave me a review.

Coordination requires full‑day, hands‑on management, therefore I would not be able to provide photography services on the same day I provide coordination assistance.

Model call!

I would like to do my first “stranger session”. This is where two people meet for the very first time, but in front of my lens. The session will include them meeting, and then there will be both candid and posed photos taken of them for the next 30 to 60 minutes.

If you know of two people that you think would pair well together as a couple, and they’ve never met each other, but you want to introduce them, and they are willing to meet in front of my lens, please reach out to me!

If you are someone looking for love, and are willing to allow me to pair you with someone, based on answers to a questionnaire I send you, and are willing to meet for the first time in front of my lens, please reach out to me!

If everything goes well during the session, you just might be able to go on your first date right after the session ends (I can capture images of that too, if you’d like).

Does it cost?: Yes.. BUT greatly discounted 😉 and you’ll get all the images via a downloadable gallery. 🙂
