Question: Does it truly matter if your photographer has never shot at your wedding venue before?

My Answer: Not if you hire the right photographer. A skilled photographer can handle any lighting situation with ease, from direct light, to low moody lighting. Vibes and trust are way more important in choosing a photographer than prior experience at a specific venue.

What about finding the best photo locations?

A skilled photographer can quickly anticipate prime photo spots on the fly, assessing lighting and framing.

I also offer to arrive to the venue early, on my own time, to walk the property and formulate a plan.

The reason I feel shooting at a new venue is actually a positive thing? Because we see the property in a fresh, new way. We haven’t fallen into a rhythm yet, we feel inspired and capture your day in a way that is unique to you. Because isn’t that the whole point?
