Art. I invested hours and hours and so many hours on this project with over the last several months.
From the beginning of purchasing 30 feet of backdrop, I had a vision. (Ha you should have seen me trying to hang that thing). Oh vey!
I wanted to invest some time for myself, and just create something pretty in the shop. I’ve learned some new techy edits that were a lot of fun to work on this shot.
Using 3 lights at times, and learn about posing. What better teacher than have a professional model come shoot with you.
I’ve been wanting to shoot with Tory for several years, and I knew putting this together we would be a perfect fit !
Thanks for coming in, I had so much fun!

I wanted ONE image that had everything I’m dreaming about. Color, dimension, editorial, and high impact with such an art feel. This image made all that come true. I loved shooting this session so much, I plan to keep this creativity bubbling every couple months.

Happy Monday! This weekend flew by, as I was completely consumed in this session for several weeks. I’ve been playing around w thoughts, ideas, creativity, dimensions and color, for some time.
Soooo…I’ve been wanting to shoot with for several years, and yesterday we finally made that happen. This session had everything to do with art and expression, and not so much “work”. I knew I wanted to collab with another creative on this and touch on a more editorial style of work. is an actor, model, photographer and . Tory has his own nail polish line .
This was my first time working with a professional model and it felt like I was driving a completely different bus. This is a small splash of favorite shots I am excited to share. I had the best time with you Tory, I look forward to our next session together! More images to come…❤️🌼📸🥂

We have been shooting together for 20 years and we have photographed all their family milestones together. From engagement, wedding, babies, business branding and now a 50th celebration. I’m incredibly excited to have landed a gig with Make a Wish. I shot for Make a Wish for many years, Covid hit and took away a lot of my big accounts I held.
By coincidence, they were shopping for a shooter in Sac to document a little gal and her family, found me and reached out not knowing I use to shoot for them. 🥹. This particular campaign will launch in November, and I was given the green light to showcase my images after the launch this fall. Life is good 🙏🏻📸☀️

This family, so cute. This was a group that was part of an extended family session. We shot this at a family home, got in all the combos, and when it came time for this particular shot…it felt so awkward posing dad with 2 grown kids in front of granny’s house. When in doubt, take it out to the street. I love these so much! I know the kids might actually love them too! Fun ❤️

As our sports writer and photographer, Allene is behind so many of the moments you see in these pages of this edition, from local games and school events to the everyday snapshots that mean so much to families across Roseville.
What made this feature so special was getting to turn the lens around and highlight her. The heart, consistency, and genuine care she brings to her work is exactly what makes her such an important part of this community.
