Rumor has it… Rillo’s dad has a photo of himself in a bathtub in the middle of a field. 👀🛁🌾

Naturally, Rillo heard about this family legacy and said, “Hold my treats.” 😂🐾

Because when you’re this adorable, you don’t question why there’s an old bathtub sitting in a field—you climb in, strike a pose, and make Dad wonder who wore it better.

And judging by that smile… I think Rillo already knows the answer. 😏📸

Who needs a fancy studio when you have wildflowers, a gorgeous sunset, an old tub, and one VERY photogenic pup?

Sorry, Dad. Rillo may have officially stolen your bathtub-photo crown. 👑🐶🛁

So… who wore it better: Rillo or Dad? 😂👇

One day, the photos you take today will become some of the most priceless things you own. ❤️🐾

Murphy the Collie reminds us exactly why—because those happy eyes, that fluffy tail, and the way they come running toward us deserve to be remembered forever. Our pets are part of our everyday lives, and somehow the years with them always seem to move much too quickly. Professional pet photography isn’t just about getting a beautiful picture; it’s about preserving their personality, their story, and the way they made you feel. Don’t wait for the “perfect time” to capture them—the perfect time is while they’re right here beside you. 🐾📸

🐾 POV: You get invited to the dog park… and THIS is your host. 😂

Meet Paxton. 🤍

Paxton invited me to meet him and a few of his friends at one of his favorite places—the dog park.

And judging by this smile, I think he was pretty happy about it. ❤️

One of my favorite things about dog photography is capturing dogs in places where they can simply be themselves.

No perfect sit required.

No serious modeling skills necessary.

Just let them explore, bring a few favorite treats, and give them time to get comfortable.

That’s when their REAL personality comes out.

And Paxton definitely brought the personality. 🐾

These are the moments I love capturing as a Metro Detroit pet photographer—the goofy smiles, favorite places, and little expressions that make your dog your dog.

❤️ Like if Paxton made you smile.

💬 Comment and tell me where YOUR dog would take me for their perfect photo session.

That face says, “Yes, I KNOW I’m ridiculously photogenic.” 😍🐾

Meet Amarillo, one of the pretty faces of the Pawtraits with Michelle Pet Model Team.

And seriously…

Those eyes.
That smile.
That gorgeous chocolate coat. 🤎

Amarillo understood the assignment.

But here’s something I hear from pet parents ALL the time:

“My dog would never sit like that.”

Here’s the secret…

They don’t have to.

Great pet photography isn’t about having a perfectly trained dog.

It’s about patience.

Letting them explore.

Giving them breaks.

Making weird noises. 😂

Using treats, toys, squeakers—and sometimes whatever ridiculous thing gets those ears up.

And knowing exactly when to click the shutter.

Because the goal isn’t to photograph a dog who is perfectly posed.

The goal is to photograph YOUR dog.

Their personality.

Their expressions.

The little looks you recognize immediately.

The goofy smile you see every day.

The personality you never want to forget. ❤️

That’s exactly what I want you to see when you look at your Pawtraits years from now.

So if you’ve been putting off professional pet photography because your dog is energetic, easily distracted, shy, stubborn, or simply has their own agenda…

Bring them anyway.

Some of my favorite photographs happen in between the “perfect” moments.

One day, this photo will mean more than you can possibly imagine. ❤️🐾

Right now, Lucy is here.

Happy.

Loved.

Standing proudly at Stepping Stones Park like she owns the place. 😂

That smile says everything.

Lucy is one of the Faces of the Pawtraits with Michelle Forever Book.

And this project is about so much more than taking a pretty picture of your dog.

It’s about remembering this version of them.

The way their ears perk up when you say their favorite word.

The ridiculous expression that makes you laugh every single time.

The places they love to explore.

The way they look at you.

The personality that somehow takes up your entire house…

and an even bigger piece of your heart.

Because our dogs change faster than we realize.

The puppy face disappears.

The muzzle starts turning gray.

Their pace gets a little slower.

And suddenly, the ordinary moments become the ones we wish we could hold onto forever.

That’s why I created the Pawtraits with Michelle Forever Book.

To intentionally capture these moments now.

Not someday.

Not when you finally have time.

Now.

If you’ve been thinking about professional pet photography, here’s my advice:

🐾 Don’t wait for your dog to behave “perfectly.”

🐾 Choose a location that feels like them.

🐾 Bring the treats, favorite toy, ridiculous noises and all.

🐾 Most importantly, let their real personality show.

Perfect poses aren’t what make a photograph priceless.

Your dog being completely, unmistakably THEM is.

Just like Lucy. 💜

The Forever Book will bring together dogs from across Metro Detroit and the stories their families never want to forget.

And I’d love for your best friend to become part of it.

UPDATE: Just FOUR more left!! Don't miss out on this!

🐾 I NEED 5 MORE DOGS TO HELP ME FINISH SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL. ❤️

The Pawtraits with Michelle Forever Book is getting closer to completion—but I still have 5 spots that need to be filled before I can bring this book to life.

This isn’t just another photo session.

The Forever Book is about their story. Their personality. Their life with you. The goofy expressions. The favorite places. The little things they do that you swear you’ll never forget.

Because someday, those photographs become priceless. ❤️

📖 I’m looking for FIVE more Michigan dogs to become part of the Forever Book.

Young or old.
Rescue or spoiled-since-day-one.
Perfectly behaved or wonderfully chaotic. 😂

Your dog doesn’t need an extraordinary story to belong in this book. They ARE the story.

🐾 If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this is the time. Once these final five spots are filled, I’ll be able to complete the Forever Book.

https://forms.gle/6Sby7omAopY6Jeq26

And to my Forever Book families who have already joined but haven’t scheduled your session yet—please reach out so we can get your pup on my calendar! I need to photograph all of our remaining participants so we can get this beautiful book finished. ❤️

Let’s fill these FINAL FIVE. 🐾📖
