Captured in infrared light, this quiet bend in the river feels more like winter than summer. The glowing trees and dramatic clouds are exactly why I keep coming back to infrared photography—ordinary scenes become extraordinary.

While I was busy photographing the night sky for another project, a second camera was quietly recording this view across Lake Huron.
Lots of aircraft and freighter traffic, moving clouds, stars drifting overhead, and even a little aurora making an appearance.
Not a bad way to spend a Friday night.
