POV you elope in Lake Tahoe 🤩

With two states, 72 miles of coast line, four distinct seasons, and mountains AND beach in one location it all adds up:

Lake Tahoe is the best of all worlds and the simply put, one of the best bang for your buck elopement locations.

Plus in Tahoe you can also:

1. Take a sailboat ride with (from personal experience, so much fun!)

2. Hot air balloon with in the only balloon that takes off and lands from a floating barge!

3. Ski/snowboard or mountain bike at , , or or any of the other many resorts in the Tahoe Basin.

4. Visit, hike, swim, and/or paddle one of the many state parks along the shore like the iconic or one of my personal favorites D. L. Bliss on the CA side.

5. Eat! One of my favorite’s is - modern tapas that are SO good 🤤

Tahoe… it’s my favorite place on earth and the best place for your elopement 💙

On Wednesdays, we wear pink.

Well at least the sky does (and not just on Wednesdays!) 😉 So this is your sign to soak in the sunset (or sunrise) on your elopement day. It’s well worth it and totally fetch!

Disclaimer - sunset/sunrise colors can also be yellow, orange, red, and purple with touches of blue from the sky around in addition to pink! It’s pretty great having an explosion of color and makes each one awesomely unique 💕

Second disclaimer - Weather is weather, y’all. So sometimes sunset/sunrise colors don’t happen at all (like in fog) or are just not as vibrant. You never know exactly what you’re going to get and that’s part of the fun! But I’ve never regretted staying out to watch whatever sunset happens 💕

The real magic of your wedding? How you guys feel as you’re getting married!

What your wedding looks like on the outside might not make sense to everyone, but that magical feeling is why so many couples are drawn to elopements and small weddings.

It’s not about doing less, but doing the things that set your soul on fire. Experiencing your personal best day ever, connecting more, and more time to soak it all in together.

Those are the kind of feelings you don’t ever forget.

Yosemite is pretty cool, I guess. If you’re into things like massive glacier carved valleys, dramatic waterfalls, and giant redwood trees. Which I am. 🤩

In my experience, most people want a few guests at their elopement!

So how do you elope with your handful of family and/or friends and still keep it intimate and adventure focused?

It’s about balance, but here are a couple of ideas:

1. Have a two day elopement! Your family and friends can be the focus on one of the days, and then you two can have your epic adventure on the other. The absolute best of both worlds.

2. Have your guests be present for portions of your day. The couple in this reel had their family join for their ceremony, then they all got to go on a hike & explore while we did the same for sunset photos in a different location! These two got ready with their families but did private vows just them, and at the end of the day all gathered together for dinner. It was an equal mix of being together and having their own adventure!

3. Have your family there virtually. For remote or international locations, have your family and friends prerecord video messages that you’ll watch together during your elopement. For places with service, plan a portion of your day to video call with your “guests” and show off the beautiful location you’re in!

Eloping doesn’t have to be just the two of you if you can’t imagine it without your crew. Your family and friends can absolutely be a part of your day(s) and most of my clients do bring ~8 guests!

Let me know which idea on how to include a few guests appeals to you most in the comments! 👇

When you’re surrounded by open skies, a golden sunset that makes you feel like you’re in a movie, and the alien awesomeness of Joshua trees, it’s hard not to be on cloud nine!

Being outside strips away the noise of our busy lives and lets you two connect, laugh, and take that literal and figurative breath of fresh air.

The result? A super fun date and photos that feel like 𝘺𝘰𝘶🤍 Your adventure doesn’t have to start with your elopement; let’s go explore for your engagement too!

*Unpopular opinion* - Staying out after sunset on your wedding day is one of the best ideas.

Hear me out. You’ve just vowed forever, you’ve maybe celebrated with a few family and friends, you’ve had an experience of a lifetime. The cherry on top of all of this? Time to take in the significance of this day.

As the sun sets and the stars begin to twinkle it’s a built in “slow down” to the day where your focus is naturally directed to each other and all the emotion you’ve just felt. It’s a moment to soak it in, breathe in the significance, and totally relax together.

Whether it’s for stargazing, playing with lanterns, snuggling around a bonfire, or sharing a midnight snack, it’s always worth staying out a little longer to bask in your newlywed bliss 🤍

May the ✨forest✨ be with you!

🌲🌲🌲

Seemed only fitting to share this gorgeous Sequoia National Park elopement on Star Wars day! Like its neighbor to the north, Redwoods National Park that was actually used as a filming location for the forest moon of Endor, Sequoia gives you the feeling of being in a galaxy far, far away in all the best ways.

Even more stunning, a huge snow storm hit the park a week before their elopement! We had to adjust some plans (like snowshoeing to their ceremony location!) and changing the date by one day (because the park roads were closed), but these two took everything in stride, just being amazed at the beauty of creation on this day and having a great time together.

From writing their vows outside at their Airbnb just outside the park, getting ready together, driving in up the long and winding road, strapping on snowshoes in their wedding attire, a ceremony and cake tucked in a grove of sequoias, a surprise snowball fight, and watching sunset from Beetle Rock - man it was a truly spectacular day. And to top it off, E & D were totally down to try a funky, artsy, Star Wars-y photo with the park sign on our way out of the park ➡️ scroll to the end to see it!

Sequoia has always had my heart ever since I was 5 and visited for the first time as a toddler. Now it’s such a joy to share these gentle giants with you guys! Does this make you want to elope in Sequoia?!

Can you guess what they were singing?!

Swipe to hear! 👉

These two incorporated their shared musical passion into their wedding day in a way that ended up stopping me in my tracks. It was truly such a beautiful and peaceful moment in the forest being treated to their songs as the golden light filtered through the trees 💛

Think about what the two of you like doing together: is it playing music, eating food, off roading, exploring new places, playing with your dogs, swimming, stargazing, drinking good coffee/tea/wine/beer/etc., playing games?

Whatever it is that makes you two feel most connected
- consider having that be a part of your elopement!
They might feel normal but if they’re activities that make you take a deep, happy breath and just feel content that’s a good sign they’re things that will make your elopement day even more meaningful.

What might those special activities be for you guys?
Tell me in the comments!

Hello there, I’m Clarissa!

It’s great to have so many new faces around here (hi!!). Like so many of you, I feel profound peace and joy out in nature - tall trees, big mountains, starry skies, red rocks: **chef’s kiss**

Out in nature is also where all my “mountain top” experiences happen. Some are literal mountain tops, but others - like seeing the northern lights - are dreams that came true in bigger and better ways than I ever imagined. I’ve always felt closest to God out in nature, so having these peak experiences of extreme joy and living life to its fullest out amongst the wildest landscapes just makes sense.

And that mountain-top, best-day-ever kind of feeling? That’s exactly what I want your wedding day to feel like. More than the epic photos, I want it to truly be your best day ever yet!

- Clarissa

Other fun facts about me:
- STEM girl (degrees in optical engineering & physics)
- Star Wars connoisseur, Ahsoka is the best
- Lifelong pro athlete, now also coach/choreographer
- Travel obsessed, the more nature the better
- Couldn’t live without tacos or avocados

✨✨✨

Thanks for the photos! Edited by me.
