Someone once commented on one of my posts and said, “This little girl is gonna cherish this when she’s older.”

That comment has stuck with me ever since.

When most people think of professional photography, they think of little kids, family portraits, or weddings. And yes, those moments matter deeply. But it’s so much more than that.

It’s the engagement session that becomes part of your future family’s story. The senior portraits that remind you who you were at the start of a new chapter. The headshot that helped launch a career. The photo of your horse, your dog, your best friend, your grandparents, your growing family, or even just yourself in a season of life you never want to forget.

🌷✨ Weekend 1 Recap, Part 3 ✨🌷

One thing I’ve learned after photographing little kids for years? The best photos almost never happen when they’re standing still.

They happen while feeding chickens, peeking into coops, splashing in ponds, balancing on stepping stones, and dragging their parents along for whatever adventure they’ve decided is important that day. 🐔💛

This sweet girl was absolutely in her element exploring the gardens, and I loved getting to capture all of the curiosity, wonder, and joy that comes with seeing the world through toddler eyes.

A huge thank you to Nadia and the incredible staff at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for helping make these moments possible and letting our little visitors help feed the chickens! 🌿🐓

Rainy days in Acadia just hit different 🌧️💜

May 1st… and as summer gets closer, so does one year of this little gig 🤍 Which feels kind of insane to say out loud I’ve been going back through this past years sessions a lot lately and this one keeps coming back to me

It was one of those early mornings where we didn’t really plan much — just showed up, wandered a little, let the horses do their thing 🐴, followed the light and it ended up being one of those sessions I still think about. That always happens, the ones where we don’t try too hard end up being the ones that actually feel like you.

And that’s what I want more of this summer, sessions where you can let your creativity flow a little more
and build something together.

Also… May is my birthday month 😌
