While I was out enjoying the strange energy during the eclipse, I did not have my longest lens available. Both this photo and the last were taken with a Sony A75 and the Tamron Lenses 50-400mm / 4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD A067. However, this one was shot on APS-C super zoom mode, whereas the previous post was not. I prefer to not do really large crops on my photos.

I'm glad that I went out for the eclipse. There was a strange energy out there. Watching an eclipse is the most otherworldly feeling you'll ever experience while standing in your driveway, unless aliens stop by. I heard coyotes in the distance. Perhaps it was just dogs howling as their inner wolf instincts took over; either way, it was cool. Here's one of my moon shots.

Throughout my travels I've been finding that I enjoy the "old" parts of town best. The narrow streets have character and the bright colors seem to match the personalities of some of the locals. These are from Old Town, Nice—a beautiful part of France.

*historic sidenote* while people have lived on that exact spot for over 2,000 years, the actual physical structures, alleyways, and vibrant architectural style seen in these photos are primarily 300 to 500 years old. And much of it is heavily Italian influenced—maybe that's why our pizza was so good!
